DIET plays an important role in every human body growth . Without dieting, one cannot change his health or shape  his/her body no matter how hard he/she is trying or how many exercises he/she is doing . We know many  dieting tips  that we get from the internet but what is the proof that they all are correct . There
are hundreds of myths that people are following nowadays .Only few know the real facts about dieting .

so ,today i am going to share 10 myths of losing weight with the actual fact  with you guys .




MYTH 1: LOW FAT OR NO FAT DIET IS GOOD FOR YOU. 



FACT:                             

Leading dieticians believe that low fat diet loses weight but there is no need to follow fat-free diet .Cutting down on saturated fats and eating unsaturated fats will help. Body needs fat for energy ,tissue repair and to transport vitamins A,D,E and k in the body.


MYTH 2:  CRASH DIETING OR FASTING MAKES YOU LOSE WEIGHT.



FACT:

This may be true in short term but ultimately it can hinder weight loss . Loosing  weight over the long term burns off fats whereas cash dieting or fasting, not only removes fat but also leans muscles or tissues. Thus, body gains a lot of fats (more than lost by fasting) when taken in diet .Thus, excersises are recommended for weight loss plan.


MYTH 3: FOOD EATEN LATE NIGHT IS MORE FATTENING.


FACT :

Studies revealed that large meals eaten at night did not make much change, i.e., to store more fat. It also revealed that people who skip meals during day , eat a lot in evening and more likely to gain overweight than those who eat regularly throughout the day.

MYTH 4: SLOW METABOLISM PREVENTS WEIGHT LOSS.



FACT :

Studies prove that resting metabolism is directly related to the body weight whereas metabolism rate increases with increased physical activity.

MYTH 5:  LOW FAT MILK HAS LESS CALCIUM THAN FULL FAT MILK.



FACT:

Skimmed and semi-skimmed milk actually have more calcium because calcium is in watery part and not in creamy part of milk.

MYTH 6: VEGETARIAN CANNOT BUILD MUSCLES.



FACT :

Vegetarians can be as muscular as meat eaters  by getting their proteins from vegetables sources such as cheese, nuts ,pulses and grains. Excess of proteins causes overload of kidney and my cause health problems.

MYTH 7: HEALTHY FOOD IS EXPENSIVE.


FACT :

Tinned ,stored,packed or off seasonal food is expensive where as local and seasonal food is inexpensive and cheap and easily available; morover , it is more nutritious.

MYTH 8: ONLY OVERWEIGHT PERSONS NEED EXCERSICES.

FACT :

Many people think that exercises help to lose weight and they do not need to lose weight where as exercises help to keep us healthy(physically and mentally); moreover , it manages stresses of life and develops socialization.

MYTH 9: SUPPLEMENTS CAN HELP YOU LOSE WEIGHT

FACT:



 Various companies claim that their supplements have dramatic effects, but they’re rarely very effective when studied.
The main reason that supplements work for some people is the placebo effect. People fall for the marketing tactics and want the supplements to help them lose weight.
      

MYTH 10: DITCHING CARBS WILL QUICKLY LOSE WEIGHT.

FACT :



Another crash diet people turn to when they are looking to lose weight fast is ditching carbs altogether. Carbs have been deemed the diet devil, and people (wrongfully) assume they lead to weight gain in any context . Cutting out carbs altogether can actually make you gain weight because you're missing out on filling fiber, which has been proven to help you slim down.
